circa 1800 made cal. 80 flintlock pistol, smooth bore.
9" brass barrel with
fixed sight, address and JR master stamps.
The iron lock shows the maker's name I. RICHARDS, push-safety and slightly
engraved hammer. Also the trigger guard is engraved.
Full stocked with original loading stick.
The pistol shows little wear, but overall very fine condition.

James Reid "My Friend"


James Reid "My Friend" knuckle duster, serial # 12644, cal. .22, 1½"
seven-shot-barrel-cluster, the frame is made from brass with about 50%
nickel-plating remaining, ;bridge over cylinder marked
READ PORTSMOUTH marked over-under flintlock pistol, made
circa 1800, caliber .48, kept-in-the white 3½"
screw-off barrels with deep front-rifling for the turn-key, on left side a
switch to fire the upper or lower barrel,
engraved brass frame, thumb
piece safety-catch, plain varnished grip, not marked escutcheon, British proof,
fine condition. $975.

providing a sure grip when in use as knuckle. NRA "Very good overall, with over 60% of the nickel finish
remaining. The bluing of the cylinder has faded to a mottled brown, with dents
and pitting. The frame has some finish loss, with the brass frame visible at the
high edges, and on the front face and grip. The action needs some work.

D. Rof's (ROSS) Edinburgh. Støckel: "1815 -
1839", cased pair of pocket- or muff-pistols, the screw-off barrels ~ cal. 32
flintlock with decorated muzzle and a little key that fits snug into the tool to
take off the barrels for cleaning and loading. The frames are engraved with maker's name
and decorated with a shield, push safety and folding trigger, plain wooden grips. The pair
is in excellent condition. It comes in a wooden show case with a not marked
brass-escutcheon on the outside, burgundy colored lining, the barrel-key, powder flask,
bullet mold marked "110", 2 metal oil-bottles.
The scarce set is excellent condition. $9,525.

ROBBINS & LAWRENCE WINDSOR, VT PATENT 1849 five-shot pepperbox, serial # 3980, cal. .31 percussion, 4½" barrel cluster with ribs. Pressing a latch on top makes it possible to tip-down the cluster for putting the caps on the pistons, and one can unscrew the front part of the cluster for loading. Ring trigger for revolving the inside striker and additional trigger for firing. Frame and breech are standard scroll engraved. Most of the weak bluing is gone, the varnished grips are fine. Flayderman's # 5B-016. The pepperbox is in fine condition. Additional the scarce powder flask as depicted in Riling's book, page 67, excellent condition. $2,525.

1885 pocket-size repeating pistol, serial # 2828, cal. 6mm Merveilleux,
5-shots.
Probably the forerunner of the better known GALOUIS. Squeezing the front part of the frame
moves the hammer swing out to the right, please see picture, and then the hammer hit.
On right side is ring to pull down for
loading. Nicely engraved, nickel plated, checkered hard rubber grips. Huons book
Les Pistolets Automatiques Français, page 12. Under the barrel are
Liège proof stamps.
Scarce in excellent condition $2,775.
