J. Adam Kuchenreuter in Regensburg, Støckel; Johann Adam Kuchenreuter, court gun maker for the Fürsten of Thurn & Taxis, after 1840 Kingly Bavarian court gun maker.
A pocket size percussion pistol, cal. circa .34, 3½" octagonal barrel with dovetail front sight plus silver inlaid inscription and leaves, on the breach adjustable rear sight, set triggers, the metal parts deeply engraved, on lock site a simple safety, channeled wooden grips typical for the 1850's period, engraved metal butt cap, the silver escutcheon not inscribed . While the quality of the attractive pistol is great, the condition shows some wear from poor storage. NRA only very good, $1,200.

An outstanding quality percussion pistol, cal. 48, circa 8"
Damascus barrel with dove-tail front sight, golden master-stamp and engraved
maker's name on breech. Lock, trigger guard, tang and butt plate nicely
engraved, on butt additional "No. 1182". Set trigger. Fully shafted with
checkered grip, swamped butt.
Decorative and rare pistol.
