It comes in the very rare cardboard box with label EAGLE ARMS CO. The box shows some wear, which is acceptable, after all, it was sold circa 1865.

H. EGG No. 1 PICCADILLY LONDON (Støckel: 1850-1869) marked
Tranter Style Double Action Revolver serial# 27444, cal. .450, 7-sided 6" sighted
barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut stocks. On the right side of the frame PATENT# 305
and on the top strap. Very fine with most bright blue remaining: the barrel has
most of the blue, the frame has drifted to a brown/blue patina but is all there. The
checkered grips are excellent and the case hardening is very good. In a wooden show case
with cartridge blocks, cleaning rod, oiler and often missing key.
An exceptional set $3,250.

ENFIELD model 1883 II, British army revolver showing the army
acceptance "broad arrow", serial # 9,624, cal. .476, almost 6" barrel
with fixed front sight, "tip-down" system for loading and extraction, matte army-blue. plain
wooden grips. In the grip is the mark GAOLS, the old writing for jail,
identifying this revolver as used in the English penal colony in Australia.

Durs Egg, Støckel: "Durs Egg, London 1748 - 1831, gun
maker for the Court". Cased pair of unusual small vest-pocket-size flintlock pistols,
also called muff-pistols. 2" screw-in barrels with little hump for the
barrel-fastener and proof stamps, cal. .38. The pistols are equipped with the common
push-safety, on the side of the lock as shown on the pictures D. EGG and LONDON with
decoration. The grips are varnished. The pair is in excellent condition. It is in a green
inlaid mahogany case containing powder flask, bullet mold with cutter and a screw driver.
The lid of the case is like often cracked because warping, other wise a decorative and
desirable set. $6,750.
