British vest pocket revolver
with British proof stamps on cylinder and barrel,
probably made by Webley during the 1880's
marked on left side of frame ALC
serial # 3095 on right side of frame,
six shot cylinder for .22 short,
1½” barrel with fixed front sight,
frame is casehardened with very fine engraving,
cylinder and barrel are blued,
checkered grips, folding trigger,
ejector rod hidden in cylinder axis.
The tiny revolver is in perfect working order
and in NRA fine condition.

Webley's New Model Army Express, serial # 4471, caliber .45 Colt, six shot cylinder, 5½" octagonal shaped barrel with fixed front sight and ejector with tube-housing, hinged gate with spring fixed on the right side, bird's head grip with checkered wooden panels. The left side of the frame shows the Webley trade mark and the caliber .45CAL. According to the Webley Story the weapon was 1885 introduced to the government of the South African Republic, please see page 72. The model was developed as competitor to the Colt model 1878. This revolver was retailed by Cogswell & Harrison, London, 226 Strand and 142 New Bond Street. The nickel plating is probably 50% missing with little pinprick pitting, the function is fine. It comes in a green inlaid case with Cogswell & Harrison label, cleaning rod, brush and oil can. Revolver and case show some wear. It is a very rare set. $4,000.

No serial #, cal. .44 percussion, 5" octagonal barrel with side-lever ramrod as
pictured on plate 19.
Frame, butt cap and trigger guard are scroll engrave, some of the bluing is gone
and replaced by brownish patina, checkered grips. IN NRA fine condition.

Webley & Scott
in Dowell's book are small Webley made revolvers pictured like this one, and
one can assume, it is also Webley made. No visible maker's name or numbers, just
Birmingham proof as common for Webley made weapon's. On the cylinder is the inscription
CALIBER .230 CENTER FIRE. The small revolver is kept in the white, 1
It comes in a cigar case, one for the revolver, the other still containing 4 cigars. The set is extremely rare and in
excellent condition.
