in Saarn made Prussian cavalry pistol model 1850 with acceptance stamps by FW = King Friedrich Wilhelm IV and sub-inspectors.
caliber .62 percussion = 15.5mm, 8¼” barrel with fixed front sight, date 1850, acceptance and proof stamps,
the metal parts kept in the white and now are mottled gray, plain wooden grip with lanyard ring and brass strap and cap.
On the brass trigger guard is a unit stamp 32 L 1, probably Landsturm.
All parts of the pistol show numbers and stamps.
With a strong spring in good working order.
The Prussian Gewehrfabrik Saarn was involved starting 1850 in the production.
Because of repetitive problems during production the factory was closed in 1862
and the production was shifted to Erfurt.
One of the rarest places of production.
 $1,250.
