READ PORTSMOUTH marked over-under flintlock pistol, made circa 1800, caliber .48, kept-in-the white 3½"  screw barrels with deep front-rifling for the turn-key, on left side a switch to fire the upper or lower barrel, engraved brass frame, thumb piece safety-catch, plain varnished grip, not marked escutcheon, British proof, fine condition.    reserved
