flintlock pocket pistols by George Pepper Dublin, each 5½" long, caliber
.50 smooth bore, barrel marked on sighting flat G. Pepper Dublin and mandatory
Irish Police Registry marks T-Y 4729 and T-Y 4730. Platinum-lined touch holes.
Engraved breeches. Engraved and sighted tangs. Swivel ramrods. Signed locks with
roller-mounted springs, sliding safeties and engraved with borders and foliage.
Engraved trigger guards with pineapple finials. Full walnut stocks with
checkered grips and unmarked silver wrist escutcheons.
Barrels with grey metal showing slight Damascus pattern, clear engraving and
patches of light pitting. Locks and furniture with smooth, dark grey patina.
Sound stocks showing numerous light marks, one with small chip at left side
fore-end missing. The pair are in good working order and very good condition.
