541 Lynnie Pennie Lane
Midlothian,
Texas 76065
a tip-down revolver, constructed under the influence of the
British Charles Pryse patent of 1876, for caliber 12mm buckshot,
serial # 557 on back strap and stock # 9831 on bottom of left
grip, 9½" barrel with fixed front sight and maker's
two-line
inscription on the bridge over the cylinder. St. Etienne proof
stamps are on the cylinder and the lug. The levers to
tip-down the barrel, trigger and base pin kept in the white, the
frame and barrel matte blue, checkered grips, eye for lanyard
ring. The skeleton stock is screwed into the heel of the back
strap and kept in the white. The leather holster has an
additional compartment to carry cartridges. An empty package for 10
Gevelot 12mm cartridges and one shot-cartridge "8" are included.
The
set shows plenty of use with some pitting and re-blue. The
not-rifled bore and the function are perfect.
However,
it is a scarce set.
$6,000.
