Houllier Blanchard
Støckel:
St. Etienne 1845 - 1872, Paris 1855 - 1870
Houllier Blanchard a Paris made massive percussion revolver, serial # 4527 on frame and barrel lug, caliber .45, 6¼” octagonal barrel with dovetail front- and rear sight, on the left side a hinged ramrod. The revolver was kept in the white and is now gray mottled. The six-shot cylinder was blued and there is still 50% remaining. A nicely checkered grip with iron butt cap and lanyard. The inside area of the grip is stamped 1848 which possibly could be a date. There is a small Y with crown, probably an inspection stamp. It is believed this was a two-tone French gray revolver with blued cylinder. The tag on the trigger guard shows it is from the Martin B. Rettig collection. A high quality weapon in good working order and fine condition. reserved
