FNI. PAR GASTINNE RENETTE,  pair of dueling pistols, caliber .50 percussion, 9¾" octagonal barrel with dovetail front sight and maker's inscription, original bright blue, nicely engraved lock and trigger guard, ½-shafted with fine checkered grip and massive butt. In good working order. Unfortunately the man who liberated the pair "brought back after WW2" did not store the pair properly and some parts of the metal show rust marks. GASTINNE-RENETTE À PARIS marked target pistol, serial # 186 on right grip, 10¼ round barrel with dovetail front sight and inscription, cal. 10.6mm ~  .44 as stamped on the end of the barrel together with the mandatory Belgian proof stamps, tip-down system held by a push-button on the left side, barrel bright blue, system engraved and case hardened with some parts fire blue, crisp checkered grip with metal cap.
