ENFIELD 1881 II marked single and double action army revolver with WD war department acceptance and broad arrows, where the second counter stamped means sold to the public, serial # 1222, caliber .476,  5⅞" barrel with front sight, rear sight on the breech, on left side of the breech a knurled lever to release the barrel to tip down and use the ejector, loading gate on the right, plain walnut grips. The bluing is better than 80% but in some places matted with some scattered surface spots . The revolver is in good working order and NRA fine condition.    3,250.

ENFIELD model 1883 II, British army revolver showing the army acceptance "broad arrow", serial # 9624, cal. .476, almost 6" barrel with fixed front sight, "tip-down" system for loading and extraction, matte army-blue. plain wooden grips. In the grip is the mark GAOLS, the old writing for jail, identifying this revolver as used in the English penal colony in Australia.
Rare revolver in fine condition.        sold
