H. J. DESSART BREVETE patent revolver made by VC = Victor Colette, Liège, better known for his gravity loading repeating pistol. This is an exceptional condition revolver with a spring holding the tip-down barrel (a bit like the British Pryse patent), decorative in two tone with glossy bright blue barrel and cylinder, circa 95% finish remaining. The frame kept in the white, nicely floral and border engraved, crisp checkered grips, folding trigger. The patent # is 2419, Colette's serial # is 1440. The 5¾" seven-sided barrel is presentation marked

The revolver comes in a extremely rare and well fitted leather covered pipe casing with purple lining and German silver lock. It shows minor stains and wear. Very attractive set and extremely rare $4,500.
