( = BRÉVETÉ) made uncommon shaped percussion pistol, no visible serial #, 3½" octagonal barrel with front sight and Delvigne Brte on the top flat, caliber .42 percussion and rifled, the metal parts as for the time fashionable kept in the white, frame, hammer, trigger guard butt cap and screws are nicely engraved. With a strong spring in good working order. The scarce pipe case is also in fine condition. Desirable set! $5,000.

, Støckel: Henri, Gustave Delvigne, Paris 1799 - 1876, started 1828 trials with small caliber rifled bores. A very early pistol in cal. .35 percussion with rifled bore, 3¼" round grayish barrel with dovetail front sight and inscription INVon DELVIGNE A PARIS, highly decorated hard rubber grips, the loading gate with a face of a monster, clean and not abused percussion cap. Interestingly the pistol is cocked with the bar under the barrel by pulling it backwards, and in the grip is a massive ramrod. The pistol is in fine condition and good working order. (tag 8046)
