above is a copy out of Lewis Winant'a book Firearms Curiosa, page 182 and figure 208. His description is fine, and this is the identical pistol. The caliber is .55 percussion, 8" octagonal barrel with dovetail front sight. The function is fine, the metal shows rust marks from poor storage, saw handle, ring trigger, plain walnut grips with flared grips in fine condition. Apparently this is an unique pistol.    sold
