Colt's 1851 Navy conversion to .38 rim fire, serial # 2822,  7½" octagonal barrel; with correct bead front sight and Colt's New York address, ejector rod attached instead of the ramrod, nickel plated, strong cylinder scene, plain varnished grips, on left side the caliber from the percussion area 36 CAL. The function is perfect, more than 70% original plating remaining with acceptable loss, mostly "eaten" by the acid of the leather holster, a few nicks, generally in fine condition. The revolver comes in a very fine holster by W. Wheeler, St. Joseph, MO.
