Lefaucheux model 1854 revolver, marked LF for Lefaucheux  with serial # 1228, very seldom found 15½" round barrel with correct high front sight and rear leaf sight on the lug, caliber 12mm, metal kept in the white, plain walnut grips with not marked plaque on the back, lanyard ring. The uncommon revolver works very tight, and it is in excellent condition    sold

one might wonder whether famous author Ned Buntline picked from this type his inspiration for the "Colt SAA Buntline".
